Compatible with tuning all supported Volvo models from 1999 to 2018 with our software. Also compatible with other diagnostic software. This is a J2534 Pass-Thru device that supports both HS and MS CAN networks that are present in Volvos (and many other makes as well) and also supports the ISO9141 K-Line protocol that is needed to unlock access to the CAN networks on -2004 Volvo vehicles. This device is similar to the J2534 cables that have become popular now in the Volvo community, however, we modify the internal hardware of this cable, replacing any counterfeit chips with genuine units. Many sellers are now selling counterfeit units as having genuine internal hardware and even advertising by brand that they contain an Atmel main CPU chip, however if you receive the unit and open the cable, it is counterfeit inside. Even when you find a seller that actually does have an Atmel main CPU chip, often times the CAN and K-Line Bus transceivers are counterfeit. Having been victim of that, we've developed a process to replace counterfeit CAN/K-Line bus drivers on the board with genuine OE chips.
